How much does social media management cost in 2026? Real rates for agencies, freelancers, in-house staff and tools - with a cost table, hidden fees and what you get for every zloty.

An agency calls: 3,800 zloty a month. A freelancer someone recommended: 1,200 zloty. A fellow business owner shrugs and says he "just posts something on Facebook himself, for free." Three answers to one question, each a few thousand zloty a year apart.
Almost every small business owner in Poland asks this. How much does social media management cost in reality, without the marketing fog and the endless "it depends"? The answer is concrete - but it depends on which of four paths you take and how many hidden costs you miss along the way.
In this article I break the cost of social media management into its parts: real rates from the Polish market in 2026, what you get for each amount and - most importantly - what the price lists don't tell you.
The number on the invoice isn't the whole cost. To every option you add your own time for briefing (handing over materials and guidelines) and approvals, plus a separate advertising budget. Those line items decide whether a given path actually pays off for you.
If you're weighing not just "how much" but above all "who should do it," that is a different decision with its own guide: Social Media in Your Company: Yourself, an Employee, a Freelancer or an Agency compares the models on your time, control and the risk of everything grinding to a halt. If the choice is between outsourcing and a tool, see Agency, Freelancer or Tool - What to Choose. Here we settle the money and nothing else.
The short version: in 2026, running one business profile ranges from two hundred zloty a month (a set of do-it-yourself tools) to over ten thousand (in-house staff with the full employer cost). A freelancer and an agency sit between those extremes.
The ranges below come from two Polish price lists published in 2026. The Silvery Bird agency quotes 800-2,000 zloty a month for a freelancer, 1,500-3,000 zloty for a local agency and 3,000-8,000 zloty for a big-city agency, while the KC Mobile agency puts a freelancer at 1,000-3,000 zloty, do-it-yourself tools at 200-600 zloty and the full cost of an in-house hire at 7,000-18,000 zloty. Every amount here is monthly and in Polish zloty, at Polish market levels; KC Mobile states that its figures are net (add VAT), Silvery Bird does not say whether its figures are net or gross, and the SyncBooster price is gross.
| Model | Monthly cost | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|
| DIY + a tool | 200 - 600 zloty for a tool set priced by KC Mobile. SyncBooster from 129 zloty gross | Your time + an assistant for content, scheduling, publishing |
| Freelancer | 800 - 2,000 zloty (Silvery Bird) or 1,000 - 3,000 zloty (KC Mobile) | 4-8 posts, often no strategy, sometimes no graphics |
| Local agency | 1,500 - 3,000 zloty | Graphics, content, publishing, content plan |
| Big-city agency | 3,000 - 8,000 zloty | Strategy, analytics, comment and message moderation, account manager |
| In-house manager | 7,000 - 18,000 zloty | A full-time person, full control, full cost |
The trap is already visible: "from 1,200 zloty" on a billboard and "18 thousand" for an employee are the same service under different names. The difference is how much work someone else takes off your plate - and how much of it still lands on you anyway.
A restaurant in Krakow that wants to post seasonal menus three times a week will realistically pay an agency 2,000-2,500 zloty a month. The same result done yourself with an assistant costs the price of a tool plus one hour of your time per week.
A freelancer is the most common first choice for a small business and the cheapest way to hand this work to someone else. Two price lists give two different ranges: the Silvery Bird agency puts a freelancer at 800-2,000 zloty a month for Facebook and Instagram profiles run without a strategy and often without original graphics, while the KC Mobile agency quotes 1,000-3,000 zloty a month for a single platform, with copy and graphics included. The difference is scope: the more design and planning the freelancer takes on, the higher in those ranges you land. Useme reports that the average value of a social media job settled on its platform in 2025 was 1,610 zloty, and a graphic design project 2,004 zloty.
The asterisk: that price usually covers 4-8 posts a month, often with no strategy and sometimes no original graphics. For a single Instagram post (graphic plus copy) the KC Mobile price list quotes 100-500 zloty, and 300-800 zloty for a Reel. If you want to post more than once every few days, the bill climbs fast.
A hair salon in Wroclaw that orders 8 posts a month from a freelancer for 1,200 zloty gets nice content - but still has to supply the photos, describe the promotions and approve every post. That's real work the price list doesn't account for.
When a freelancer pays off: when you have a clear idea of your messaging and need a pair of hands to execute, not a head for strategy.
An agency is the most expensive of the "external" options, but also the only one that genuinely takes strategy off your hands. In the Silvery Bird agency price list, a local agency costs 1,500-3,000 zloty a month, a big-city agency 3,000-8,000 zloty, and large agencies serving corporate clients start at 8,000 zloty and go up.
So these aren't empty ranges: here are the three packages from the KC Mobile agency's 2026 price list, at 1,200 zloty, 2,400 zloty and 4,800 zloty a month, with the top one also covering ads management up to a 5,000 zloty budget:
Notice one thing when you compare offers: the number of revision rounds. In the packages from the Silvery Bird agency the price covers one revision round, and two only in the priciest tier - each extra "actually, change that photo too" is often billed separately. That's the first of the costs the headline offer doesn't show.
A clothing boutique in a smaller town that signed a 2,000 zloty agency contract calculated after three months that the biggest time sink was still... briefing the agency and clicking "approve." It paid for convenience, and the convenience wasn't there.
Hiring your own specialist gives you full control and the most time devoted to your brand - but it's by far the priciest path. According to Ogólnopolskie Badanie Wynagrodzeń, Poland's national salary survey, the median monthly salary of a social media manager is 6,220 zloty gross at junior specialist level, 7,570 zloty at specialist level and 9,000 zloty at senior specialist level, and a quarter of senior specialists earn above 10,770 zloty gross (sample: 205 people, data updated in January 2026).
Except the salary isn't the end. Polish salaries are quoted gross, meaning before the employee's own tax and social security, and the employer pays its own contributions on top of that, plus equipment, tools and training. The KC Mobile agency puts the total cost of an in-house hire at 7,000-18,000 zloty a month, where the upper end assumes salaries well above the survey median. For that money you get one person - who takes holidays, gets sick and may leave, taking all the knowledge of your messaging with them.
For the vast majority of small businesses, in-house staff is overkill. It only makes sense once social media generates a stream of sales large enough for a full-time role to more than pay for itself.
This is the real difference between "price" and "cost." A price list shows the invoice amount - but social media management carries line items you pay separately or in your own time.
That last point is the most underrated line. "I do it myself for free" is almost never free - you pay with your time, which you could spend serving customers. We break that math down further in Social Media Marketing - Investment or Money Pit.
The fourth path is running social media yourself, but with an assistant that takes over the most time-consuming part - creating and adapting content. It's the cheapest option. According to the KC Mobile price list, the tools alone for doing it yourself (design, scheduling, ready-made photos) cost a minimum of 200-600 zloty a month. SyncBooster starts at 129 zloty gross a month with a VAT invoice.
Honestly: a tool lowers the cost of producing posts, but it doesn't replace strategy. Someone still has to decide what you communicate and why. The assistant will write and adapt a post to each platform - but the idea "let's show a client's transformation and a Friday promo" has to come from you or someone who knows your business.
The difference is that with a tool you pay a fraction of a freelancer's rate for execution, and the strategy - often simple for a local business - you set yourself. A car detailing shop that posts before-and-after results twice a week doesn't need a 2,500 zloty agency. It needs a photo of the car before and after, and a tool that turns it into a finished post.
Let's pull it into one decision cheat sheet. Below is the real annual cost for a small business posting regularly on two platforms, that is the monthly ranges from the table above multiplied by twelve:
| Model | Annual cost (rough) | Your time per month (estimate) |
|---|---|---|
| Tool with an assistant | tool set approx. 2,400 - 7,200 zloty, SyncBooster approx. 1,550 zloty | 2-4 hours |
| Freelancer | approx. 9,600 - 24,000 zloty (Silvery Bird) or 12,000 - 36,000 zloty (KC Mobile) | 2-3 hours (briefing) |
| Local agency | approx. 18,000 - 36,000 zloty | 1-2 hours (approvals) |
| In-house | approx. 84,000 - 216,000 zloty | Managing a person |
Same caveat as in the monthly table: the KC Mobile figures are net, Silvery Bird does not state whether its figures are net or gross, and the SyncBooster price is gross.
The numbers are clear: for most small businesses in Poland, the jump from "doing nothing" to "posting regularly" doesn't have to cost a few thousand a month. The biggest saving is the time you get back - and how much you actually reclaim, we show in Reclaim 12 Hours a Month with Social Media Automation.
How much does social media management cost for a small business? According to the KC Mobile price list, a small business can expect to spend 1,000-2,500 zloty net a month for one or two platforms (usually 8-12 posts, basic graphics, moderation and a monthly report). Doing it yourself drops to 200-600 zloty a month for a tool set priced by KC Mobile plus your own time. SyncBooster costs from 129 zloty gross a month.
Is the ad budget included in the management price? No. Running a profile and the advertising budget are two separate line items. For campaign management alone the KC Mobile agency quotes from 10 to 20% of the budget or a flat 500-1,500 zloty a month. Plan that money separately.
How much does one Instagram post cost? According to the KC Mobile price list, a single post (graphic plus copy) is usually 100-500 zloty, and a Reel 300-800 zloty, depending on complexity. At higher volumes, a monthly package or a tool works out cheaper.
Will a tool replace an agency? It will replace part of its work - producing and publishing content - for a fraction of the price. It won't replace strategy. If you know what you want to communicate, a tool is enough. If you need someone to build a strategy from scratch, an agency or a consultation remains.
How much does an in-house social media manager cost in 2026? According to Ogólnopolskie Badanie Wynagrodzeń, Poland's national salary survey, the median salary is 6,220 zloty gross at junior specialist level and 9,000 zloty at senior specialist level. The KC Mobile agency puts the total cost with employer contributions, equipment and tools at 7,000-18,000 zloty a month. For most small businesses, that's too much.
Before you hand someone 2,000 zloty a month, calculate two things: how much content you actually need and how much of your time stays in the process regardless. Very often it turns out you don't need an agency - you need an efficient way to turn phone photos into finished posts.
SyncBooster learns your business during onboarding and creates content tailored to each platform - from 129 zloty gross a month, several times cheaper than an employee. You or your staff member upload a photo and write one sentence, and the assistant prepares finished posts for Facebook, Instagram and Google. See how much you'll save - the free trial doesn't require a card.
The most expensive social media is the kind you pay for and don't control. Count the cost, choose deliberately and start posting regularly - because it's consistency, not budget, that brings in customers.
Write a short brief about your post - SyncBooster turns it into a ready-to-go post with a preview for every platform, ready to publish.

That's all it takes to get a ready post for every platform.
